About Us

Shaun Dutile started New Hope- A Christian Counseling Place in 2014 (originally named Dutile Christian Counseling) out of a conviction that only in Christ could a person truly become “whole again”. Although help can be found by practitioners outside of the Christian worldview, Shaun believed that true and lasting wholeness for each person must ultimately involve a relationship with Christ.

For 10 years Shaun practiced independently, accumulating well over 8,000 counseling sessions before expanding New Hope into it’s current location and hiring two other Master’s Level Christian Counselors in 2023 & 2024. Today New Hope sits serenely on a small farm surrounded by the company of sheep, goats, chickens, beautiful pastures and an office/barn furnished to provide a place for all to “become whole again”.

Shaun’s wife Marci has played an instrumental role in the work of New Hope. Although not a counselor herself, the setting and design of the New Hope barn is a creation of her unique talents and vision, as well as the landscape and building decor. ​As co-owners, Shaun and Marci have a vision to see New Hope become the Lakes Region’s go-to counseling center for true and lasting wholeness both spiritually, mentally and emotionally. They desire to see individuals, families, churches, organizations and communities experiencing the flourishing life of Christ as Jesus heals us, saves us and empowers us for living whole again.
